Sign categories

Traffic signs are divided into regulatory (obligatory/prohibited), warning and informational.

Regulatory signs are usually circular. Warning signs are triangular. Informational signs are often rectangular.

Common signs to know

Stop, give way, no entry, speed limits, no parking and mandatory direction signs appear frequently.

Colours matter: red often means prohibition or danger; blue often indicates obligation or information.
